CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the reason for the party’s defeat in Kathmandu in the 2079 general election should be found.

Oli’s comment was about Krishnagopal himself, “We did not even want to win.” Out of ten constituencies in Kathmandu, only Krishna Gopal won from UML. He won from Kathmandu-9 by getting 11 thousand 956 votes. Shrestha’s closest rival, Tek Bahadur Pokharel of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, got 10,961 votes.
