Now you can make video calls with your cartoon avatar on Facebook Messenger and Instagram- Facebook’s parent company Meta has released a new cartoon avatar feature for Instagram and Messenger. It has introduced a feature where the user can chat with gestures through the avatar without showing his face in the video call.

Video calling has become very popular with the corona epidemic, but some people are not comfortable with the process. Because what kind of clothes to wear, how the hair looks, even if you just wake up in the morning, the effects on the eyes etc. are worrying.

To address such discomfort, Meta has released a cartoon avatar feature on Instagram and Messenger. “Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a third option besides turning the camera off and on to somewhat indicate your presence in a video call?” It is said in the post made by Meta announcing the new feature .

The cartoon avatar feature introduced by Meta can follow your facial movements, eye opening and closing, etc. in video calls. This new feature of Meta works in the same way as the emoji avatars in Apple’s Facetime calls. A video made to promote the new feature shows that it works on both iOS and Android.

From that you can also choose cartoon avatars of owls, dogs and other animals. The company’s avatar system is a key part of its broader Metaverse plan. Because it is a cartoon picture of you, your friends and colleagues, which will complete the virtual reality world envisioned by Meta.

The company is also working on another tool for Facebook and WhatsApp. With the help of which you can easily create your avatar by taking a live selfie. It seems that an update may come soon for this. In addition, the company is also releasing avatar stickers for Instagram and Facebook stories, reels, Facebook comments, messenger and Instagram personal messages.
