Music Tonight: Friday, May 5, Cinco de Mayo

As I have never visited Mexico before, I am not familiar with the extent of how widely celebrated this holiday is beyond my home state of California. Nonetheless, my intention is to constantly learn and spread knowledge through this column. Although, I am aware that Makenu, a remarkable cumbia band from the local area, will be performing at the Miniplex tonight around 9 p.m. in honor of this occasion. The tickets are priced at $10, and DJs Amaru Shia and Eclectic will be playing some great music during the breaks in the show.
