At 7 am on Sunday, a 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck the county of Pingyuan in Dezhou City, located in East China’s Shandong Province. As a result, 21 people were injured. The earthquake caused the collapse of 126 buildings in the affected area, but transportation, communication, and power supply remained operational. Local authorities confirmed no leaks were found at oil and gas pipelines.

Following the incident, over 20 trains departing from Beijing, Tianjin, and Cangzhou were halted, along with approximately 30 trains on the Shijiazhuang-Jinan High-speed Railway, as reported by China Railway Beijing Group Co, Ltd.
